Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Heroes of the Classroom presented by Kleenex® contest?

The Heroes of the Classroom contest is a skills-based contest based on nominations of teachers. As Kleenex celebrates 100 years of strength, they are celebrating the strength and impact of teachers. Join the wave of celebration by nominating a teacher you know for the hero that they are.

How do you nominate a teacher for the Heroes of the Classroom contest?

You can go to www.heroesoftheclassroom.com/enter and follow the instructions provided to fully complete and submit your Registration Form. The nomination will include a response to the three (3) questions (each in 300 words or less, to be written in English), describing why this Teacher deserves to be nominated as a Hero of the Classroom (“Entry” and, if in the plural, “Entries”).

Once the Entry is completed and submitted, the Entry is final and may not be modified or edited.

What teachers/what type of teachers are eligible to win?

Kleenex wants to celebrate all teachers making an impact on the lives of others.

For this contest a “teacher” is defined as a professional educator who works with students as a whole class in a classroom, in small groups in a resource room, or one-on-one inside or outside a regular classroom. This includes student teachers, teachers’ aides, administration, nurses, guidance counselors and paraprofessionals.

Teachers must be at a public or private school located in the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia that educates children between the grades of K-12.

Eligible teachers must be an active teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.

Why is Kleenex doing this contest?

Kleenex believes teachers deserve to be celebrated for their strength and impact in the classroom. Kleenex is celebrating 100 years of strength and recognizes the strength behind students’ success is credited to the strength of teachers.
